Wichita Falls Accounting And Math Tutor
About
Hi! My name is Robyn and I am a math and accounting tutor in the Wichita Falls area. I work full time as a Certified Public Accountant for a Big 4 firm, and I also have a passion for helping people learn, which is why I am starting a tutoring business on the side.
I graduated from Baylor University in 2018 with a Master's of Accountancy and a Bachelor's of Economics and Accounting. While at school, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor, where I developed lesson plans and instructed my peers to aid in their comprehension of material for Business Calculus and Business Pre-Calculus. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my students and serving them and seeing them succeed, and I look forward to getting to do that again through my tutoring business!
Please feel free to reach out to me regarding any questions you have about my service!!!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
As I am new to individual tutoring, I am still working out a process for accepting students. Please reach out to me and I'll be happy to work with you!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified Public Accountant
Master's in Accountancy
Bachelor's in Accounting and Economics
Supplemental Instructor at Baylor University
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I am hoping to receive between $40-60 an hour due to the amount of time I will take to prepare for the session, but each price is tailored to the student!
How did you get started teaching?
I got my start at Baylor University as a math Supplemental Instructor, and absolutely fell in love with helping students one-on-one and seeing them succeed!
What types of students have you worked with?
I have only worked with college students in a tutoring setting.
I worked with high schoolers and middle schoolers as a youth ministry intern, so I have experience in working with those age groups as well.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event I am fond of is when my husband and I adopted our senior border collie, Barbara!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
My advice would be to see what kind of prep work they will do before your tutoring session! My past students always learned more when I showed up prepared to help them, so I would be sure to do that for you prior to our tutoring sessions as well.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First, I would suggest a student show a concerted effort trying to get to a conclusion or answer on their own. Document what you tried to come to the conclusion. (As my math teachers always said, show your work!) Then, come up with specific questions about what you need help on.
