Hahn Academic Tutoring
About
My goal is to offer patient and methodical teaching. I won't ask you to "just try" or tell you "think about it". If you don't know how to work a problem, it's my job to teach you step-by-step, and to give you related practice until you have mastered that particular skill.
I'll also help some with test-taking techniques, but these are of limited value. The biggest gains for students don't come from learning tips and tricks. It's mastery of actual content that gets high scores.
I earned an MBA from Rice University and enjoyed several academic accolades, such as a full tuition scholarship as the top male student in Rice University’s MBA program. I worked for multinational companies (Unilever and Schering-Plough), the U.S. Department of Commerce (in export promotion), and as a management consultant at Booz Allen & Hamilton.
Then, I taught microeconomics and other subjects related to international trade to students from over fifty countries in the School of International Education of South China University of Technology. Although I've retired from teaching, I still enjoy helping students prepare to prove their readiness for university studies. If you're looking for an old-school educator, contact me to schedule a lesson!
