Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first day will be an oriantation, this will allow me to fully get a grip of what the teacher requires from the student. As is often the case students are taught to ace an exam not to understand the subgect. My class will allow both. Not only will I teach the subject in depth, I will also teach how to take proper notes that are best student for that individual.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a tutor for many years. This began in highschool and continues to this day. This allows me to understand student's frustrations and find a way to modivate each individual to learn their subject.
How did you get started teaching?
From an early age I would follow my mother to her book readings, this allowed me to enter a world that facinated me. As I grew more educational opportunities came my way, this allowed me to work with students k-12.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with second genetation children from many areas around the world. This allowed me to change the form I teach to best suit my student. I would also work with children who did not quite understand the subject or the language which led me to have a different understanding for an individial's needs.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
