I am a Certified Public Accountant 73 years old. I homeschooled my grand daughter during covid. Taught math and reading during my time with her. I'm good at teaching elementary math. I like to read out loud and am capable of teaching elementary reading. Currently I work in public accounting for small business. I have passed the background check for Dallas ISD and have volunteered for Reading Partners organization.

As a biology graduate, I have developed a strong passion for understanding how living systems work and for helping others make sense of complex scientific concepts. Through my coursework, I have built a solid foundation in topics such as cell biology, genetics, and human anatomy, while also learning the importance of clear communication and critical thinking. After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties. I have specialized in working with students on an individual basis and delivering instructions based on their learning styles.
