Hello, my name is Jorge Ahumada, I hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Pre-Med from UTD, towards Medical School. I tutored Science and Mathematics at Dallas College Northlake Campus for three years bilingually (English-Spanish), and on my own. Actually, I tutor Mathematics, Science,Spanish, and ESL, independently. My goal as a tutor is, not only for students and parents to see tangible results adjusting my tutoring to the needs of each student, but for students to become confident and excited about learning, while experiencing progress.

After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties. I have specialized in working with students on an individual basis and delivering instructions based on their learning styles.
