After 30 years in media production, I changed careers and became a classroom teacher through an alternative certification program in Texas. I hold these certifications currently: Generalist 4-8, Social Studies 8-12, Journalism 7-12, and ESL Supplemental 4-12. I recently retired from the classroom, but want to continue my ties to education. The bulk of my classroom experience is with students that have learning differences such as ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and executive functioning difficulties. I have specialized in working with students on an individual basis and delivering instructions based on their learning styles.

I love watching students learn. Teaching and tutoring them is a great opportunity. I worked as a Substitute Teacher at Prosper ISD for a year and a half. I taught all subjects to all students from K-12th grade for absent teachers. I also during that time worked as a Teacher Assistant with special needs students. I have a degree in Theatre and World Communication and always had a passion for teaching and the written word. I have traveled the world learning about other cultures and cultivating new wisdom and knowledge that allows me to work with all kinds of people from all kinds of backgrounds.
