SAT And ACT Tutoring
About
I am a current sophomore at the University of North Texas. I scored in the 99th percentile on my ACT and SAT in high school, and I want to help other kids get the score they need for colleges and scholarships. I have done some peer tutoring in the past, and I am patient, understanding, and committed. I also have AD/HD, and I can help students who may also have AD/HD by giving them advice and tips on how to deal with it during testing.
I enjoy seeing high school students who are proud of themselves. I just recently finished high school and it is a very confusing and stressful time for some students. A lot of times kids are embarrassed about their grades and/or test scores, but I want to to help them to be confident in their abilities and show them that through hard work and practice they can reach their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I would talk to them about their goals and what they want to get out of tutoring. I would ask them how they have been studying or practicing in the past and see what works for them. Then I would give them some SAT and/or ACT practice questions and see what they already know, and how they approach the problems.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a few years of experience tutoring current high school students, mostly with math and English. I have had some prior experience with peer tutoring as well. My qualifications would be my 33 on the ACT and 1450 on my SAT.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I would probably charge $15/hour, but I am willing to negotiate.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with mainly high school students who have needed help in math and English. I have been able to work with them to understand concepts and basic foundations for their classes that teachers in class may not have time to go in depth on.
