About
Welcome. You took the first step to learning. Congratulations. Tutoring is about listening and learning the needs and abilities of students, setting up individual plans and making strategies to accomplish your goals. Everyone is different in the way they learn. We will choose what is right for you. As a retired teacher of thirty years, I have encountered students of every learning style, ethnic background and levels of ability. My love of culture has taken me to many countries. The past seven years teaching ESL brings me great joy to see students gain confidence and advance to places they never thought possible. I look forward to making learning fun and engaging for you child. If you have questions please ask. Life is a continuous learning process. Life is all about learning and discovering new things. ... We learn in every experience that had happened in our life. We learn from our bad experiences as well as good experiences.
As a retired teacher I just love to see my students learn. It is my greatest joy to watch them show pride in their accomplishments. My training in art and education allows me to work with students of all languages, ages, disabilities, and handicaps. I have taught Grades PK – 12, college, Special Ed, Autistic and Severe and profound and Dyslexic. I bring a nonjudgmental attitude to every learning environment, knowing that all students can learn to the best of their ability. While working on my Masters of Science at SMU the liberal arts challenge my abilities to think deeply and apply my education in reading, writing, religious studies, anthropology, archaeology and art history. Learning about our world is endless.
