About
I have almost 4 years of experience as an in-home tutor of general mathematics and the last 2 years, I have had the privilege of assisting a teacher at Reed Middle School. Last year, during which I assisted in the development of differential instruction and facilitated the learning of basic mathematical concepts, targeted at 6th to 8th graders, I also frequently assisted teachers in explaining concepts and always attempted to find new relevant perspectives that students could understand and better remember. Additionally, last year, as a National Honors Society (NHS) tutor, I expanded my versatility by tutoring students from the 9th to the 12th grade in math and science. I have taught students in everything from basic math to advanced math, including the SAT and Calculus, and have taught various sciences, including Physics and Chemistry, both in a classroom and home setting. Furthermore, because I regularly instruct teenagers and young adults, I am proficient in the use of various mediums, including online platforms and teaching techniques such as mnemonics and visuals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each student goes through a 1-2 week testing process to estimate their strengths and weaknesses based on previously released exams.
After this, a targeted plan is created to address information gaps and/or weaknesses. This plan is specific to both students, and areas of weaknesses, maximazing student time.
How did you get started teaching?
I was introduced to teaching by my mom, who is also a teacher.
