Elyse Mims

Hello, my name is Elyse and I have lived in Blount Co. going on 11 years in October. I have an AAS in Administration of Justice, which was my career until my husband was killed in 1998. I am a mom of 3 and a grandmother of 4. I homeschooled my children as a single mother because they all had needs that some schools didn't have resources to deal with so I figured out the best way to teach each child while traveling around the country and working; all went on to attend College and now have successful careers. I was also a substitute teacher for elementary students in Hamblen Co during the 2003-2004 school year. Each child learns in their unique way and that is why I want to help yours succeed. I prefer to work with children aged 5-11, however, I am willing to consider older children depending on their needs. All tutoring services are in my home only as I am disabled and cannot drive to other locations.
