I first would like to get to know my students individually before creating a personalized lesson plan for them. I prefer more hands on guidance

As a first generation college student in the United States, I learned the entire college admissions process through trial and error. I currently attend a top-25 university and have used my knowledge to help students gain admissions into schools of a similar and higher calibers.

Students looking to hire teachers in my field should not be afraid to shop around to find a teacher that they can connect with.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
It is much easier to make lesson plans for students who have both long and short term goals.
