About

Hello!

My name is Jack Markussen, founder of Jack's Math Center. I work to help all students struggling or wanting some extra help in almost all math courses. I am currently a student at Temple University, studying mechanical engineering. Through my engineering courses, I have excelled in a wide range of math skills ranging from classes such as:

Algebra

Algebra 2

Geometry

Algebra 3 Trig

Pre-Calculus

Calculus

Calculus 2

Physics 1

Physics 2

I have great knowledge in all of these classes, and currently hold a 4.0 as a member of the Dean's List, while taking some of the most rigorous mathematics courses at Temple University.

I work with all ages, doing homework, review sessions, going over tests/quizzes, and preparing for upcoming tests/quizzes.

The summer is a great time to get ahead for next year's math classes, please reach out if you think my services would benefit you in any way. I have very flexible hours and will be sure to devote all of my attention to helping you or your child succeed!

I enjoy the rewarding experience of being able to help kids and students with certain problems that I used to struggle with in the past.

Jack is fantastic. He worked with my 10 yo. on his 5th grade math assignments and really helped him tremendously. Not to mention keeping us all sane in the process. 🙏🏻

Jack had helped my sister with her physics homework starting with very simple ways of looking at the problem. He was able to break down each step and it really helped her understand so that she could try it herself the next time. He was very patient with her while helping her through the concepts.

    Frequently asked questions

First, I will get to know a new student by connecting with them and finding out a way how he/she learns best.  I will find out what the best way to convey the material the student struggles with most, and work in a pace most comfortable to them.

I started tutoring with my younger brother.  Every night, he would have a lot of trouble with his math homework, which was algebra at the time. I began to help him and realized how much I enjoyed working with him and helping him understand his assignments.

I enjoy working with students of all ages.  I have worked with kids as young as middle school, and up to college leveled students.
