What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I want to see hwere the child is performing academically and emotionally. It is important to understand how to help a student byt meetng them at their needs and not meeting them at the end goal(s).
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified ENL specialist in New York and Florida. I have attended trainings by the Fordham University NYS/NYC Reginal Bilingual Education Resource Network as well as Teachers College at Columbia University.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
For a 30-minute session, the rate is $55. For a 45-minute session, the rate is $65. For a full hour session, the rate is $80.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a substitute teacher and joined the competetive and intensve program through the New York City Teaching Fellows (NYCTF) shorty after that.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from all backgrounds throughout New York City, including students with special needs and English Language Learners.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher who has yur best interest at heart. Find someone who will listen to you and help you learn in a fun way.
