About
Above all, I prioritize my students' success. Whether the goal is to prepare for a standardized test, to improve academic performance, or simply to understand difficult material, I make it my personal mission to help each individual student reach these goals and resolve obstacles standing in their way. In addition to sessions, I believe it is important to remain accessible to my students over text in case they have questions throughout the week, free of charge.
Nothing compares to the reward of watching a student become empowered in their learning identity. I work with a lot of teenagers and adults whose primary stumbling block (underlying organizational elements and strategy) is a fear of failure and sense of hopelessness, and I am honored to have the chance to help them unlearn this in a safe context. This kind of breakthrough in perspective is one that sticks with a student forever, serving them long after I'm done working with them.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to become familiar with a student's learning style before we delve into the material. I get a good sense of this by learning about their interests, talents, and studying approaches. Together, we can come up with unique strategies to become fluent in difficult concepts.
