About

Struggling with basic physics/mathematics problems? Feeling lost in your physics or mathematics course? I’m here to help!

With a Ph.D. in Physics from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo and postdoctoral research experience at Cornell and Temple University, I bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to my tutoring sessions. My passion for teaching began during my Ph.D. program, where I served as a teaching assistant, and has continued to grow over the past 18 years.

Throughout my career, I’ve taught physics and mathematics in various settings, including lectures, recitations, and one-on-one office hours. I have extensive experience tutoring on popular online platforms such as Wyzant, Chegg, Tutordotcom and Varsity Tutors, accumulating over 1,000 hours of online tutoring.

I specialize in making complex concepts easy to understand and helping college and high school students excel in their physics/mathematics courses. I teach both college-level physics/maths courses and also at the high school level. As an independent tutor, I dedicate my full attention to a select number of students, ensuring personalized and effective learning experiences.

No matter where you are, I can provide the support you need to succeed in physics and mathematics. Let’s tackle those challenging problems together and turn your confusion into confidence!

My freshman daughter is very pleased with this Andy’s tutorship. He took the time to thoroughly assess her needs and tailored his teaching approach accordingly. His clear explanations and patient guidance helped her grasp difficult concepts and develop a better understanding of the subject. Highly recommended!

Dr. Khan is a great tutor who explains physics concepts well. He takes the time to work through many example problems, which makes learning the concepts easier. He is also very accommodating about timing if something comes up for another class, or if I need some last minute help with a homework problem. I’d definitely recommend him to other students.
