Hi, I'm Scarlet— a 17-year-old student based in NJ, and a passionate academic tutor with three years of experience working with middle school and early high school students. My approach to tutoring goes beyond just helping with homework. I focus on building the deep understanding and study skills students need to excel in rigorous high school courses, perform confidently in AP classes, and develop habits that serve them for years to come. Every student I've worked with who has gone on to take an AP exam has earned a 5.

As an Aerospace Engineering student at Rutgers with several years of tutoring experience, I enjoy helping students build confidence and succeed academically. I have worked with students from elementary school through high school, adapting my teaching style to each individual’s learning needs and goals. Whether a student needs quick homework help, test preparation, or a thorough explanation of challenging concepts, I strive to make learning engaging, patient, and easy to understand. I am a physics professor at a college with a Ph.D. in Physics. For over ten years, I have been tutoring college and high school students in physics and math. I believe active engagement is the most effective way to learn physics and math. My highly interactive teaching approach focuses on hands-on problem-solving and conceptual understanding. I tailor my teaching methods to meet each student’s individual needs.

I am a graduate of Iona University, where I earned my degree in Biochemistry in 2024. During my time there, I tutored students in various science subjects, helping them build confidence and strengthen their understanding of complex concepts. After graduation, I became a SETSS provider, specializing in math and science instruction. More recently, I have expanded my tutoring to support students in a variety of subjects while continuing my studies and preparing for medical school. My goal is to build confidence in my students’ academic abilities and help them achieve meaningful improvement in their studies.
