Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
4 SIMPLE Steps!
1. Discuss strengths and weaknesses with the student.
2. Leverage the student's strengths (i.e., study habits) and couple them with my own personal tricks to make learning individualized and more comprehensive.
3. Ensure that the student is understanding -- not memorizing -- by incorporating multi-step math problems and/or quizzes.
4. Build the student's confidence by facilitating student-led sessions.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Read reviews and research social media accounts for a better idea of what's offered.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
- What persistent difficulties have you had (on homework, tests, quizzes, or projects)?
* Keep in mind that the genuine desire to understand math needs to be there. Passively engaging yourself may not produce ideal results, but active engagement more than likely will.
