About
Hello, I'm Craig, and I am a lifelong learner and would love to have the opportunity to share my skills and knowledge. I have an extensive background in mathematics, hard sciences, writing, and business with multiple degrees from Harvard, APUS, Towson, and other fine academic institutions. I specialize in helping students who have ADHD, social disabilities, and other types of special needs.
Do you feel nobody cares, doesn't understand you, or won't take the extra time to explain because you aren't like the rest of the class? Do you want to finally gain an edge and turn your ADHD or disability into a gift of unlimited potential instead of it being a curse everyone makes it out to be? You can spend less time studying, reading, and memorizing boring concepts while achieving an exciting true working comprehension of the subject that applies to your interest. Uncover innovative learning practices that will keep you focused so you can know what to study, not just how to study. Is your goal not only to obtain short-term academic success but also long-term retention of complex concepts required for higher learning institutions and the advancement of applications for the real world while using ADHD to your advantage? Do you struggle to grasp a clear comprehensive understanding of the core basics and building blocks of mathematics, science, and advanced writing techniques, and find yourself lost as concepts become more complex? My goal is to help you focus on you first then the subject. You will learn to be your best not only at school but also prepare yourself for life after graduation. I will teach you to think, question, understand, and problem-solve for both academics and how your education will shape your future career. Once you learn how to tap into your gift of ADHD the sky is the limit in both school and life. I want you to understand people with ADHD are brilliant creative visionaries whose minds are highly complex compared to most others. Unfortunately, you sometimes have trouble dealing with those who fall into the masses. You must understand that you are not unteachable or a distraction but an artist who is a free thinker and a strong-minded individual who is not afraid to think or question ideas outside the realm of "one size fits all" curricula. I will tell you what, this doesn't doesn't frustrate others as much as it scares them.
If you are looking for a tutor who just reviews your homework, recites your notes back to you, and is your study buddy, then I am not the right tutor.
I have 30 years of real-world experience and have worked for and with some of the most cutting-edge companies on the globe such as General Electric, Johns Hopkins University, and the international water giant Suez. I orchestrated, directed, and actively taught countless learning sessions, and online courses and was the key presenter at large-scale seminars and professional events speaking to all types of people. Secondly, I have also had the opportunity to work with small businesses and startups where I was able to work on a more intimate level with both clients and employees. Third, I am a proud disabled US Army Veteran who understands overcoming hardships and challenges and will do what it takes to succeed. In addition, I am a lifetime member of the International High IQ Society, International Who's Who of Poetry, and National Honor Society. I am a company visionary, published author, screenwriter, and research scientist. I have worked in surgery, medicine, chemistry, engineering, music, and arts, as well as creative, business, and technical writing. I have an ALM from Harvard in Sustainability, an MS in Astrophysics from APUS, a BS in Biology/Biochemistry, and multiple executive education certifications and specializations from some of the world's top universities. There are a lot of choices for tudors, but I am unique and probably the most well-rounded instructor available. I aim to be more than an academic tutor and more of a life coach or mentor who understands what they are going through. I don't teach you to cope with ADHD I teach you to recognize, utilize it, and ride the roller coaster of excitement to sustained success and happiness both inside and outside of the classroom.
If you are interested in possibly using my learning/mentoring service please contact me directly. We can discuss what you want and how I could help you meet those needs. The second step is to set up a one-on-one personal evaluation to get to know you as a person. I currently have three slots open for the right person who shares my values and dedication to learning. Each scholar is different so each program is customized to both the individual's academic and life goals. In conclusion, I welcome and encourage all scholars at the High School and college level. I accept anyone who needs assistance especially those dealing with diagnosed learning disabilities. Life is hard enough but learning shouldn't be. Trust me I know.
I currently specialize in the following subjects for all types of students. I find the biggest issue is that students fail early on and then just get further and further behind. Step one with me is to always ensure each scholar masters the basics of their subject. If you master the basics everything else down the road is much easier.
