Greetings, I am a professional writer (journalism, Creighton University grant writing, nonprofit marketing, however most fun and fulfilling has been my current position as a paraprofessional for second grade at Fontenelle Elementary. I so enjoy working with kids and youth in literacy skills. My daughter had mild dyslexia and we worked hard together. She's now graduating from Grinnell college with a degree in biochemistry. Each child learns differently and at their own pace. Most importantly, all children have a capacity for learning, growth, curiosity and creativity. It's our job to tap into it.

I have written over 150,000 word for a novel manuscript since April of this year, and I am a freelance journalist most recently for the Omaha Daily Record. In college my major was English, as it is one of my true loves in life. I regularly mentor youth, and currently between writing articles have a job working with children, which I have been doing for more than ten years now. I have been trained by Boystown, the YMCA, and in the Montessori Method. Beyond English, I am passionate about history, geography, philosophy, and seeing children reach a greater potential.
