Hi! My name is Edie Orso and I am a current English major at NC State University. I love the language arts and helping others understand English as well. I have experience working with students of all ages and can't wait to help!

I am a certified special education teacher with 17 years of experience. I currently teach at a local middle school, and have been tutoring all ages from kindergarten through middle school. I work with students to help them improve their reading skills and math skills (up through algebra). I love seeing those light bulb moments within the kids and watching their confidence grow!

I have 13 years of experience teaching all levels of high school Spanish, two years teaching HS ESL, 13 years tutoring writing. I served the 13 years with the US Army speaking Spanish in various missions.

I am very good at assessing what a student most needs helps with in regards to SAT/ACT English grammar, writing, and reading. For example, I can tell if the student has a time management problem and/or if a student needs to learn or review grammar rules. I also am great at breaking down the stages of writing an essay. I’m a 23 year old guy who graduated from Independence high school in 2020. I’m good at writing things perfectly. I had good grades in math and English. I was focused and self-motivated at high school. I had more more than a 4.0 grade point average there. I can sing like an angel. I have a photographic memory.
