Showalter Science Tutoring
About
While my knowledge and education focus on high school and undergraduate science and math topics, my greatest assets come from my history of tutoring professionally at my local community college, giving me a broad range of experience working with students from a variety of backgrounds and needs. This has taught me that the first thing I need is buy-in, so I focus first on relationship, which builds motivation and helps me to identify each student’s strengths and challenges, and from there develop their skills and confidence.
What I enjoy most is seeing a student grow in confidence over time! Helping a student to restore their own sense of competence and embrace their power to learn and take risks is a great honor.
