I love it when a student suddenly experiences that 'Eureka' moment, and you just know that they truly understand. It is such an empowering feeling. I don't merely help with homework. I teach student HOW to learn based on their individual strengths. I encourage questions. There is no such thing as a stupid question. I was a Speech/Language Pathologist for 30 years in the public schools. For the past 6 years I have tutored as a contractor with Varsity Tutors in addition to my own private clients. I have experience working at all levels, from Early Childhood Special Education on through High School and college. I focus on the following subject

I have quite a bit of teaching and tutoring experience. I have 7 children, and I homeschooled all of them. I have also taught 1st grade in the school system. Last year I taught 6th grade writing at a Christian school and enjoyed it so much. —so much that I’m taking another 6th grade class! I have Mondays and Wednesdays available to tutor. I looooove teaching phonics to help kids, teens and adults to spell to write and read.
