About this tutor

I base my teaching on a flipped classroom approach. I like to take what my students know, and expand on that knowledge. I like to teach my students- then have them teach the information back to me. If a student can teach me the information; I believe they have successfully learned the material. I also like to put my lessons in terms to make the child understand. If the student loves sports- I can put the subject area in terms of a sport in which they are interested. I can do this with almost anything.

I love to see a student grow. That is the greatest satisfaction for me. I love to see the lightbulb moment when one of my students get material that they found challenging- or difficult to grasp. I also love to meet new people, and see what they have to offer.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Always look for a teacher who will break down the material, and put it in terms that you can understand. A teacher who takes time to break things down for their students- is a teacher who cares for their student.
