I've taught kids and adults, learners of all academic levels, learning styles, and capabilities. I've taught students from different countries and curricula. I've taught in person, lab, and online. I just love it all.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I was very fond of going back to teach in person after almost a year of online learning due to covid19. The students were so glad to be, as was I.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for someone with experience. A teacher who's taught for many years has built the skills necessary to be able to plan and deliver key concepts, as well as allow the student to develop his/her own thinking strategies.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
1- What is your goal/objective?
2- How will this tutor help you reach your goal?
3- Will you prepare a curriculum, or should the teacher provide one?
4- Consider the time frame necessary to reach your objective
