About

A long-standing tutor (new to tutors.com), I enjoy helping others, especially in the sciences and math. I tutored on behalf of the University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins University in premedical classes, mathematics, economics, and statistics. I am an alumnus of both schools.

I am happy to tutor for the MCAT in Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems (scored 99 percentile) and Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological Systems (scored 97 percentile). I also received 5's in AP Physics C in both mechanics and E&M exams.

I was a Statistics TA for three years as an undergrad at the University of Michigan.

I enjoy working with students from all different backgrounds (typically middle school and older). I tutored students in college, high school, middle school, GED, and older adults returning to school.

    Frequently asked questions

I prefer if students send me subject topics, practice problems, and solutions (if possible) ahead of time to prepare a lesson plan.

I previously worked as a tutor for the University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins University in the premedical, mathematics, statistics, and economic courses.

I charge per hour. I accept almost all online payment types. I am happy to discuss payment plans if paying in full after every session is a problem.

I am dyslexic and was reliant on tutoring throughout elementary and middle school. Thankfully I received help early and started having academic success in honor and AP classes in high school. I found out in college I love to teach after becoming a tutor at the University of Michigan in the Ross School of Business for undergraduate and MBA students and the Ross Academic Center for Student-Athletes.

I have worked with students of all ages, typically high school, college, and older adults.

I love to run and hike. I recently ran a virtual 10k. Thankfully we can still run even during COVID.

A tutor should initiate a discussion before any sessions with the student or parent about expectations such as schedule, material, and content review verse problem review.

Students should use past problem sets. Problems are the best way to figure out what areas of strengths and weaknesses you have. Also, in the sciences and statistics, topics build off each other, and it may take a step back to reviewing past material first to move forward to succeed!
