My services stand out from other tutoring services because I offer programs that identify and address the underlying issues that are causing the current academic problems. Then I teach both the current course material as well as the prerequisite skills that are standing in the way of success. I also offer both small group (3:1) and private (1:1) sessions in order to accommodate the various academic and financial needs of families with whom I work. Over the past ten years I have worked as a Special education teacher across different grade levels. I have developed ways to allow my stundents to grasp some of the most difficult concepts in a simplistic way. I believe in hands on teaching and getting to know my students and how they learn best. As a teacher it is difficult to prepare lessons and create ways for all students to feel successful in the classroom. I feel as a tutor it is my job to create an environment for the students to feel successful and heard, and to listen to what works best for the way in which they like to learn. My daughter´s tutor, Mrs Wong, did a great job helping her. Her grade went from failing to a B because Mrs Wong knew what was wrong, and what my daughter needed to learn. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a caring, fun, teacher with lots of learning styles to help students learn.
