Katie Beyer

As a middle school Language Based program teacher for the past 15 years, I have extensive experience working with students with specific learning disabilities in the areas of reading, written language and math. I have a Masters degree in Special education, and a CAGS in reading. In the summer I work with kindergarten students on school readiness skills. I believe that learning starts with building relationships. My passion is supporting kids with dyslexia. Reading instruction has to be researched based, and targeted to the individual student's needs. There also needs to be a focus on the student's strengths to ensure they can reach their full potential.
