I am currently working as a systems engineer on multiple hyperscale data centers around the world. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
As someone who struggled with math when I was younger, I understand how difficult it can be to grasp abstract formulas and ideas. This turns a lot of kids away from mathematics, which I think is a real shame.
Instead of focusing on the abstract, my way of teaching math is to make it relatable to the student, to point out the everyday objects and things that make use of the very topics they are learning. After getting that deeper connection to the real world, understanding the abstraction becomes easier and math really becomes fun.
The buildings that I am working on are the infrastructure of the internet. The datacenters are what allow billions of people around the world to share pictures on Instagram, watch movies on Netflix, remotely work from anywhere using Teams or Zoom and so much more. It is the cloud that everyone talks about and I enjoy making my contribution to make the cloud possible for everyone.
Sid really helped me with my math classes! I improved in my algebra and pre calculus classes a lot and I was able to better understand the concepts with tutoring. I really like his method of teaching where we go through problems slowly first and then practice with additional problems afterwards. Sid is patient and makes sure you understand what you are doing so you feel confident with you work.
