About
I am a patient and insightful educator. As a college student myself, I understand the many challenges students face. This allows me to better connect with and understand my students. I have a great deal of experience tutoring students ranging from elementary schoolers to high schoolers. I have tutored in many subjects but specialize in math and SAT preparation. I am deeply dedicated to my students' success.
As previously stated, I have a plethora of tutoring experience. I am going on my third year of tutoring. I have worked for a student-run tutoring business as well as run my own service. In addition to math and SAT preparation, I have experience tutoring in basic English and science.
A little about myself, I am currently a college freshman attending the University of Notre Dame where I am majoring in physics and am on the Dean's List. I attended Andover High School in Andover Massachusetts. In high school, I was a member of the National Honors Society and graduated in the top 10% of my class. Outside of school I played sports, worked as a babysitter and tutor, and volunteered at youth camps.
I find tutoring to be an amazingly gratifying occupation. I cherish the relationships I cultivate with my students as we work together to study, learn, and grow. My absolute favorite part is watching my students gain confidence as we work together to tackle academic challenges!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always start off working with any new student by having a discussion with them and/or their parents about why they are looking for a tutor. I ask to gain an understanding of how I can best be of help but learning about the students' strengths and weaknesses. I ask what the student/parent wants to get our of our tutoring sessions. From there, we come up with a plan of action and then we get to work!
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I offer 45 minute and 90 minute sessions. They are priced at $30 and $50 respectively.
How did you get started teaching?
As the oldest of three sisters, I have always been the go-to tutor in my house. Any time either of my younger sisters has struggled in school I have worked with them to address the challenge. Later when I was in high school I joined a tutoring company run by a few of my peers. Upon graduating high school I started my own tutoring service.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of many grade levels from third grade to sophomores in high school. Some of my students have had ADHD.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Hire a teacher with a lot of experience. When it comes to learning, we all have a different style. The best teachers are the ones with experience working with a wide variety of learning styles.
