I love helping out in math. Whenever a student in my class needs help with a subject I’m always there to help them understand. Even when it’s online I help out. Where it’s a specific topic or just something someone’s not sure about and needs a little practice with. I enjoy helping out with math because it not only teaches the student but it also teaches me how to do my job. The student helps me understand what questions to ask and what the student really needs to focus on. I have been in the field of education for the past 7 years. I worked as a paraprofessional for 2 years prior to becoming a special education teacher. I am currently a special education teacher in Billerica and I work with high school students with disabilities. Although I work in a high school setting I have experience with elementary and middle school curriculum.
