Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I’ll request that you let me know before each session what exactly you want help with. For example, if you’re looking for help in Calculus, let me know which unit you’re currently struggling with specifically so I can refresh my memory before our session.
Come with questions prepared, or specific problems you’d like to work through. I can give you the most help when you give me direction.
Since I am a college student without a car, it would be easiest for you to meet me somewhere close to Northwestern—like a coffee shop in downtown Evanston or one of the libraries. If I need to come to you I’ll request compensation for travel expenses, which may be expensive (ie an uber to and from another location).
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
