About
I have enjoyed tutoring for over thirty years and I love my job! My background is in learning disabilities but I tutor all students gr. K-12. I especially enjoy teaching math, but I readily provide instruction in reading and writing, and support learning in other subject areas as well. I also do a lot of standardized test preparation (e.g. PSAT, SAT, ACT).
I love seeing students become confident in themselves as they experience success. I thrive on building relationships with my students, some of whom I've worked with for all twelve years of school.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I usually see students for an hour a week, but that is flexible depending on student need. Our first session is usually a 'get-to-know-you' meeting with goal setting and an evaluation of current skill levels as appropriate
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters degree in learning disabilities. I taught in a special education classroom for three years and also worked as a resource teacher. The bulk of my career has been private tutoring.
