I have been tutoring for 5 years. I help my students understand topics by reinforcing what has been taught in the classroom and alternative ways, if necessary. I have been keen to note how a student interprets (or not) a math question, for example, and quick to resolve any confusion.

My price includes review and preparation of material(s) before a tutoring session. I offer my students a satisfaction guarantee: if you are not satisfied with our tutoring session, I will not charge you for that session.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Student should communicate their needs; provide me some materials so I can familiarize myself with their topics(s), the more information, the better; for example:Class syllabus, book title/author, topics to be tutored, etc. We will meet at an agreed location,either student's home, a library or at a Starbuck's/ similar.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am a degreed Engineer and thorough with all Mathematics topics through the University Level. I am also a Tutor with another company for 5 years.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My standard price is $60 per hour, which includes my preparation/ review of material before I meet the student.

How did you get started teaching?

I never imagined to teach, but after helping others in Math, I was encouraged by many to become a Math teacher. I am naturally passionate about teaching Mathematics.

What types of students have you worked with?

All levels from Elementary, Middle School, High School to University levels. My preference is to work with Middle School and higher levels.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Communicate their needs to their tutor. When a student realizes their problem(s) and knows how to communicate, that is actually a good habit they will develop, eventually becoming strongly independent to figure out and solve their own issues.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Do I understand the material? Am I confused about the basic idea? Where are we going to use this/ what are the applications of this material?
