I am a Special Education teacher with over 8years of experience teaching reading, math and writing. Most of the students I teach are considered to have a specific learning disability in either reading, math or writing. With a structured and systematic research- based curriculum, students on my caseload make at least 2 grade levels of reading within a year. I also work on executive functioning and behavior management.

My name is Casey and I have been teaching in Illinois for 23 years. I have primarily been in a 2nd grade general education classroom. I have worked with children from a variety of backgrounds includes ELL and those who receive special education services. My years of service to the educational needs of my students has made me a versatile teacher who is always wanting to learn new ways to better meet the needs of the children I work with.
