Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We will do a consultation to discuss your goals and if I can be a good fit for you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over two years of experience studying for the test. In addition to this experience, I can recommend online resources that will be most helpful as you embark on your studying journey.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard rate is $50/hour. However, I am flexible with pricing and want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to be able to work with a tutor.
How did you get started teaching?
In high school and college, I would tutor subjects in history, math, and english. I have enjoyed tutoring my whole life and fully believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to learn and excel if they are willing to put in the work.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with high school and college students in the subjects that they need most help with.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I know what it is like to achieve your goal score on the LSAT. Opening your profile to see that score announcement is one of the best feelings. I will help you achieve that feeling.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Interview tutors to make sure they are the right fit for you.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
I would inquire about responsiveness, expectations, and the format for a typical session.
