I liked to help kids understand what they are learningr. I wish I had a tutor early on, it would have helped me build my foundation a little better in school. I want to be able to offer that type of help.
I enjoy helping kids. I really want to help them discover a subject that they genuinely like learning about.
In the 5th grade, i had an amazing science teacher. I fell in love with ecology and environmental science. And without her, I wouldnt have been an environmental engineer.

I used to be a Learning Assistant at Florida International University. I would tutor students in the Hurricane Engineering course

I charge $30 an hour, and will meet at a local starbucks, panera bread or public library.

I used to tutor a lot of the children in my family.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should definitely come prepared with a list of what they are particularly having trouble with, and questions. That always helped me be more efficient when I would recieve tutoring myself.
