I offer chemistry tutoring as an actual chemist with over 30 years of academic, industrial and government experience. I was even featured in our local newspaper recently and awarded Best of Tutors.com for 2022 and 2023! As an actual chemist, I have the unique advantage of hands-on experience to best explain chemistry. My approach is very interactive and goes beyond typical tutoring to include goal setting, coaching and developing critical thinking skills important for any science subject.
I was originally inspired to go into chemistry by my own high school chemistry teacher - Mr. Dale Nelson. Now, after over 30 years in academic, industrial and government settings, I enjoy educating our rising generation just like my chemistry teacher did for me!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I always offer a complimentary meet and greet with prospective students and their parents. This is beneficial for both of us to learn about each other. I want to know both where you struggle and where you excel to determine how I can start to customize a tutoring plan for you. From my end I want to tell you about my unique two way approach to tutoring and goal setting.
