I’m a retired special education and science teacher for 19years in the US. My sped experiences include working in regular classrooms as inclusion teacher for Math , Science, Language Arts where I have equal footing with General Education Teachers. I also have five years doing tutorial jobs in my country where I have international students as my clients. I make tutorial sessions less stressful and fun using different strategies for different types of learners .

I have over 27 years of teaching experience in Elementary, Middle School, and High School levels. Certified in Colorado to teach ages 5-21 with extensive experience in Special Education, academic testing, informal and formal diagnostic methods. I love working with students and celebrate their growth and support the idea that we never stop learning.

I have an English degree from Simon Fraser University and have a love for reading and writing! Right now I am a full-time athlete, training towards my goal of making an Olympic team. I have some spare time though and would like to be able to help youth be able to prepare for college and help them chase their dreams, like I get to. As a current teacher, I have 15 years of experience in the classroom. I have worked with 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students in those years of teaching. I have knowledge of teaching students to read and write in both English and Spanish. I specialize in Reading Language Arts in both languages. I am also able to teach students to speak in Spanish, as well as speak English. I take time to learn my students' favorite things and find ways to connect with them to make the class more meaningful and have students look forward to class.
