What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start by having a conversation with the student to find out what their goals are and what they are looking for in a tutor/instructor. Once I know what their goal is we come up with a plan to execute their goal. For each lesson, I will customize a plan tailored to their specific needs. It's important that the student know what they are expecting from the lesson, the clearer they are on expectations the more focused our lesson can be.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching High School Biology and Chemistry for the last 18 years. I have been to both AP Biology, and AP Chemistry professional developments run by the College Boards.
