Randy tutored my senior high school son and prepared him for his math SAT test. Randy was exceptional in every aspect. Not only his knowledge and ability to teach the material, but also his ability to connect with a teenager in away that my son commented that “Randy was the best teacher I ever had”. Randy wanted to make sure that he covers as much of the material as possible and frequently stayed way over the scheduled sessions times at no extra charge. Randy is an honest, excellent tutor who cares about his students and I highly recommend him as a tutor to students at all ages!

I don’t know if this has a word limit, but I could keep writing forever about my time with Randy. After a few weeks of math tutoring with him, I retook an SAT and went from a 1360 to a 1440! He was extremely kind, funny, and really cared, even staying late one night to help me study for a math test. He is an amazing tutor and person, and I can’t recommend him enough.

He did the work with me so I saw the steps I needed to take. Additionally, he made sure to explain concepts in a detailed manner which helped me understand the work.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

My strength as a math tutor is being able to explain math concepts in as simplistic a way as possible so that the student understands. I often hear students say "wow that makes so much more sense than what my teacher said in school." In recent years I've been taking on more and more SAT prep. My specialty is showing students specific SAT strategies that are very different than those used on "regular" tests in high school.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

BS in Mathematics.....20 years tutoring all math subjects up to precalculus....15 years tutoring SAT Math/Reading/Writing & Language
