I have always had a passion for math, and as a result I have found helping others to better understand (and even enjoy) simple or complex math concepts is where I thrive. I am currently enrolled in honors calculus with a 4.67 GPA, and I have maintained my honors status all throughout middle and high school. I have been tutoring since I started my undergraduate physics degree in 2016. I am currently studying physics as a PhD student and have extensive knowledge in math and physics as well as some experience in computer science. I feel that every student is capable, often what is missing is individualized instruction in a way that makes sense to them. My favorite part of tutoring and teaching is seeing the student understand a new subject. The joy of learning something new is amazing....

Kei S. says, "Great tutor who is very patient and helpful. Adapts to my needs. There's a little "curse of knowledge" going on--ie, the assumption that I know more than I really do---but we work together to overcome that. Additionally, my tutor suggested some behavioral habits and minor diet changes that actually worked for me. I will be working with my tutor, Fred, again!" Read more

I feel compelled to share a great "find" we made last year. School had only been in session for two weeks before my kids came home lamenting that their AP Physics teacher left them totally confused and stressed out. Switching to a less demanding schedule wasn't an option so I decided to look for some help. Lord knows, it wasn't going to come from me or my husband! I found Daniel, a 2012 UCLA engineering grad who has been tutoring for many years. After the boys' first meeting with him, the level of stress in our household plummeted and the boys did well on their first physics test. We've decided to have him come regularly, just to make sure the boys understand the material and keep them confident. The boys ended up with A's in the class and doing well on the AP test. Daniel was able to help them with anything they didn't get in their calculus class as well. So as you stare the next school year in the face, if your child has any difficulty with their studies, especially in math or physics, consider talking to Daniel. He's a lovely young man and the boys really responded to him well.

Amazing! I was really struggling with both the mathematics section of the SAT and PCAT. Knowledge tutoring helped identify my weaknesses, and focus my time and energy in solving those types of problems - fast and efficiently. The strategy and approach is important to master, and those are the key takeaways I learned. Additionally, you want to work with someone that cares as much as you do. You need someone that is committed, energetic, and willing to put forth the time and energy to help you when you need assistance. Great tutor - would highly recommend!

The best person that tutors my son and daughter. My daughter's and son's teachers are saying that they improved in writing and math Their tutors are very attentive and friendly to working with all the kids The other thing that makes me depend on tutoring is that she challenges the kids and gives them homework outside of the tutoring sessions ******* its been like two years and this is a Great investment!!!!******

My daughter had to write a pre-algebra test in a few days and I was concerned she was struggling. I contacted SoFlo online, expressed my concern and in spite of the tight schedule they moved things around to accommodate my daughter. I witnessed the session and it’s the best thing since sliced bread. I love the teaching method, and that my daughter was offered multiple methods to solve the same problem. I recommend SoFlo highly!
