I am currently a 1st grade Educational Specialist that has taught general education and special education for elementary and middle school students. I was a behavior therapist for 20 years. My method to teaching is to use students' strengths to help them with their challenges. I enjoy adding games and music into my teaching process to maintain engagement.

I have built a stellar reputation on successful results with students and clients, which has lead to a chain of referrals. I conduct face to face tutoring and business with students and clients because personal communication is so important for the success for all. I love seeing students "get it." What we have been working on starts coming together and it manifests in better grades, more self confidence, that knowing look of "I can do this."

Currently, I work onsite as a Literacy Specialist for Reading, Writing, Language Arts for grades TK-Grade 12. Previously I worked as a TK-5th grade elementary teacher in the classroom for all subjects Math, Reading, Writing, etc. During the weekdays and weekends, I also tutor for all elementary grade levels in all subjects. I am able to tutor in-person surrounding the Los Angeles county areas and remotely across the nation. As a tutor, I try to give curriculum materials that support the child's needs, but also help them to advance in school by aligning to the school's challenging material or supporting the level of struggle that some grade levels carry in Common Core subjects. I am a student at in college currently studying aerospace engineering. I was an honor student back in my high school. I was a student once, so I get how going to extra hours feels, and I will try my best to to know students better. I do not think I am to strict, I am to make the student not stress out over work because math while trivial, can be fun if you got it figured out. Most of the time I treat student how they want to be treated. I also have volunteered to teach small classes before so I do have some experience.
