Hello, my name is Joseph Amezcua and I am an undergraduate student at UC Davis. I am a Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior major and am well versed in the school curriculum’s currently being administered to K-12 students as I graduated from high school just last year. I graduated with a 4.00 unweighted GPA and seek to provide intuitive and accommodating aid to students. I understand that not all students learn the same way which is why I focalize strong relationships with my students to adapt to their learning styles.

I very much enjoy teaching. I am an engineer with doctoral degree in applied math (Operations Research). My day-job is to lead a Data Science team for a large corporation in Bay area. I prefer to teach, only during weekend. I enjoy the "Aha" moments when kids understand new concepts and start exploring/thinking about new applications and also eager to move onto next level of training.

I am currently teaching anthropology at Fresno State University. I tutor a range of different topics including social studies, math, and science.

I try to share with the students an easy way of looking at maths topics, that involves minimum memorization and maximum understanding. That is the way I have been learning and using maths, and that's what I would like you to experience. Helping improve understanding and increased confidence of students is always rewarding.
