Lynn has been tutoring my son in geometry since the beginning of November 2020. He is in the 8th grade. My son was initially hesitant about working with a math tutor, since he never had one before, but after a couple of meetings, he grew comfortable with and enjoys working with Lynn. He says that she understands the material very well, but more importantly knows how to teach it so that he understands it as well. Prior to working with Lynn, he was very inconsistent on his exams, but since working with Lynn, he has been scoring As and Bs. Sometimes he and Lynn can cover material ahead of his class, so he feels less stress during class.

My daughter was nervous about tutoring, but Mr. G was fun and easy going - he definitely knows how to work with high schoolers. Throughout the year, he helped her understand some tricky Algebra 2 concepts, giving her the know-how and the confidence to do well in the class. My son's worst subject is math. Unfortunately math is also my worst subject. There came a point where I could no longer help him with his assignments. He went into high school not really prepared for math. (8th grade was distance learning year). We are thankful for Mr. Vermilye because he not only goes over assignments, but also reviews concepts that he needs help with. He also goes over concepts that he will learn further on in the semester. During exams and finals, Mr. Vermilye helps with extra zoom classes and is available through text when my son has a question. He has been invaluable in my son's learning!

My daughter had to write a pre-algebra test in a few days and I was concerned she was struggling. Amazing! I was really struggling with both the mathematics section of the SAT and PCAT. Knowledge tutoring helped identify my weaknesses, and focus my time and energy in solving those types of problems - fast and efficiently.
