About

I still try to center my services around the individuality of students. I truly believe that most struggling learners are struggling because their unique combination of strengths and weaknesses aren't being harnessed effectively. It is the job of the tutor to diagnose the student's individual needs and fit them best. I utilize this understanding in my every interaction on the job, and it shows in my students' results.

I am obsessed with the moment a student 'gets it'. Very few things are as rewarding to me as enriching another's life with understanding. After four years and dozens of students, I chase these moments of clarity with ever-increasing passion.

    Frequently asked questions

My typical process for working with a new student involves diagnosing their individual learning strengths and preferences. Once I understand what makes a learner tick, I can best serve their interests.

I have worked as a tutor for over 4 years and in dozens of subjects, including: the SAT/ACT, AP tests, Calculus, English, and much more.

    SAT/AP Prep: $50/hour

    Academic tutoring: $40/hour

I first taught in an official capacity at Glendale Community College. Here I worked with a diverse array of learners in a variety of english, math, and science based courses.

I have worked extensively with high school and college students.

I recently had a student email me triumphantly after taking his SAT, exuding confidence in his results. It was truly gratifying to hear pride and excitement in his words as he related his test-taking experience.

My advice for prospective tutees is to find a flexible tutor. There are many ways to learn and, consequently, many ways to teach. A teacher is only as effective as their ability to adapt their strategies to fit their students' needs.
