Stone And Compass Tutoring
About
I am a life long learner who is still working on school and trying to help others out along the way, Currently I study Psychology and Sociology but I also have extensive coursework in Religion and International Relations as well. I have tutored off and on over the past few years getting started officially as a math lab tutor when I was in Madison Wisconsin as well as a writing center tutor helping students through the paper writing process. So I bring a wide knowledge and skill set to every session ready to help you tackle (almost) anything you need to work on.
I have been described as laid back and supportive with just enough push to keep you going. I was given a lot of negative reinforcement growing up so I strive to always find the positive and help you see it as well while still working on the things that are holding you back. I strive to find new ways to present knowledge and rely on a conversation/project based teaching method to guide you through the process, not just give you a bunch of stuff to memorize because I said so.
I always found school to be a wonderful place and said I would be happy if I could stay in school forever. I very much enjoy helping other students find their joy and passion in education and foster in them a desire to be life long learners as well.
