My goal is to make learning fun. I am entirely capable of teaching based off worksheets and books but I love teaching based off games. Kids enjoy learning this way and they will remember what they learn. I have been a 1:1 para and behavior technician for over 6 years, working with kids for 20 years. I meet students where there at, then take steps towards where they need to be.

Hello! I am excited to apply for the tutoring position in Science and English Language. I bring a background in medicine along with strong communication skills developed through both academic training and personal experience growing up in America in a multilingual and culturally diverse family. My medical background has given me a solid foundation in scientific subjects and strengthened my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear, patient, and engaging way. In addition to science, my experience growing up in a household with multiple languages and cultural perspectives has helped me develop strong English language skills and an apprec

I studied history at central washington university, with a French minor. I spent 6.5 years working as a developer in both front end and back end languages. I am currently a high school computer science and robotics teacher. I believe in a wholeistic approach to student development. Education, especially equitable education, begins and ends with student knowledge. I often learn from my students and find that they are a wealth of ideas and thought.

With a Master’s in CS and Math from the University of Washington and over a decade in the tech world. I’m passionate about helping high school kids who feel lost in subjects like Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Calculus, or Statistics—I’ve got a knack for turning confusion into ‘aha!’ moments. I also prep students for AP exams (AP Computer Science Principles and AP CSA) and tutor Chemistry, Physics and Biology, both AP and general, making tough topics click with clear, patient explanations. I prefer 1:1 sessions because I love tailoring my approach to each student, helping them boost grades and confidence. I’ve seen strug

My situation was unique. I had serious epileptic seizures during high school resulting in multiple brain surgeries and a long, challenging recovery. Matt entered my life during this time; I still had assignments to complete before graduation and an impending SAT exam, so I met with Matt twice a week and learned the essential concepts of writing and reading comprehension. While math was my strong suit, Matt helped me identify some earlier math concepts that needed refreshing. My initial SAT score prior to my relationship with Matt was 1260, but, after tutoring, I received a 1510 and was accepted by my school of choice for pre-med studies. I continue to meet with Matt two or three times per week during my undergraduate studies for more advanced writing strategies. I cannot imagine a better academic mentor than I have found with Matt.

Kate is a dedicated educator and I cannot recommend her highly enough! She has been tutoring my second grader in both reading and math for several months and her tailored approach has significantly improved his skills and confidence in each subject. Kate fosters a positive learning environment, making the sessions enjoyable for my son while still remaining focused on achieving academic progress. I am truly grateful for the impact she has made on my child’s education!
