Hi! My name is Mary Beth and I am a licensed professional engineer in North and South Carolina. My husband and I recently moved to Tacoma for his job and I will start a full-time masters program at UW Seattle in fall 2023. Looking for tutoring opportunities as supplemental income while I am in school. I have a fairly flexible schedule and can do virtual or in-person tutoring. I would love to work with folks who are struggling with math, but could assist with most subjects for grades K-10, with the exception of foreign languages. Could assist with beginner level Spanish.

I have worked in private learning center for 12 years and tutored over 10 years. I am a result-driven person, so test preparation tutoring fits me. I customize a lesson plan for a student's goal based on mock test. I feel thrilled to hear that my students' scores go up and they reach their target score. I also feel great when I hear comments that students see math in different perspective even if it is a test prep course.
