Hi! My name is Alli and I've been tutoring for the past 8 years. I enjoy working through math problems with students and helping them become more fluent in the things they are learning. I believe the best way to learn is by practicing, so I typically spend a lot of time working through practice problems with my students.

I graduated from Houston Baptist University in 2019. From 2020-mid 2023 I was a molecular geneticist and a research assistant. I now teach 8th grade Biotechnology at a STEM middle School that is partnered with Baylor College of Medicine. I like to keep my teaching fun and relevant. I make sure to scaffold lessons and get to know each student’s individual learning style so I can incorporate different techniques and to achieve maximum comprehension. As a current college senior with 5+ years of tutoring experience, all K-12 material is still quite relevant and fresh in my mind. I have worked with a variety of ages, from kindergarten all the way to seniors in high school. I get to know each student individually as well as get to know their personal goals. I will provide quick, concise responses for those in a hurry, and slow, methodic teaching for those looking to understand the material on a deeper level.
