I take an individual aproach to each student based on learning style and their specific needs. I love getting to watch students witness themselves succeed as they master goals and content they struggled with.

I believe every student is capable of greatness. I overcame many challenges with dyslexia and ADHD in the public school system. I have a passion to help those with or without learning disabilities to achieve there educational goals. I don't believe in can't and I am here to turn your can't into a can! I want to see you succeed and I am here to help you in anyway I can. I enjoy elementary and middle school level education. As well as higher education depending on the field of study. I specialize in music education of all ages. I work with student with disabilities including, dyslexia, ADHD, autism and Down's syndrome.

I have 14 years teaching experience. I have taught grades 5-12. I have Texas teaching certifications, including English/Language Arts/Reading 8-12, Social Studies 8-12, Generalist 4-8, Special Education, and ESL Supplemental. During my career, I have worked with students from a variety of backgrounds.

I have been a classroom teacher in a public school for 16 years. I have my Bachelor of Science degree from Texas State University and my Master’s in Education in Curriculum and Instruction in Reading from Tarleton State University. My passion is helping struggling readers and writers become lifelong, proficient readers and writers.
